Abstract
Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans), a prominent model organism, has interesting behavioral responses to various physical cues. In this study, we demonstrated a straightforward microfluidic system for the analysis of electrotaxis and thermotaxis of C. elegans. We compared total 5 strains of C. elegans, wild type (N2), mutants (unc-54(s74), unc-54(s74), ttx-7(nj50), tax-4(p678)) using this device. We believe that our microfluidic system will provide a standard platform for behavioral study of C. elegans with simple handling.
