Abstract

Simultaneous pickup method of 3D objects both in real and virtual fields is proposed and demonstrated. A 3D object is relayed into the space covering the real and virtual fields of a pinhole array or a lens array and captured at the focal plane. The captured image is reconstructed as 3D images spanning from the virtual to the real fields by the 3D/2D convertible integral imaging system.
