Abstract
Motion image quality has been a critical issue for LCDs. We have developed a frame-rate doubling algorithm to enhance motion image quality in LCDs. In this algorithm, motion-compensated frames are created between input frames for 120Hz LCD. We show that this algorithm has minimized motion artifacts and has greatly enhanced image quality in LCDs. Moreover the algorithm can be implemented with minimum hardware complexity and frame delay.
