Modified cubic convolution scaler for enhancement of edge information

Abstract

We derive a modified version of cubic convolution sealer for the enlargement or reduction of digital images by arbitrary scaling factors. The cubic convolution sealer is modified to enhance the edge information. While the conventional scheme is applied to the uniform sampled data, the proposed scheme can be used for non-uniform sampled data.
