Abstract

Urban wind consists of vortices and gusts formed as the wind passes through buildings, and is fatal to the operational safety of Urban Air Mobility(UAM) Aircraft. In this paper, we propose an image based Auto-Landing Control Logic for VTOL aircraft considering urban wind. The proposed system calculates guidance commands for the landing site using Image Based Visual Servoing(IBVS) and follows them through Adaptive Nonsingular Fast Terminal Sliding Mode Control (ANFTSMC). The performance of the Auto Landing Control Logic was analyzed through landing simulation, and the possibility of using it to determine the size of the vertiport was suggested.
