Abstract
A complete mathematical model for laminar steady incompressible flows including heat transfer is presented. It is demonstrated that the accurate and efficient prediction of detailed flow and thermal fields is computationally feasible for arbitrary passages. Fluids with higher Prandtl numbers are shown to offer clearly better cooling characteristics.
