Abstract

Recent studies on downlink resource allocation algorithms applying SDMA have achieved the maximization of system throughput and cell coverage in a single cell environment only. In this paper, we propose an OFDM/SDMA-based downlink resource allocation algorithm that considers QoS parameters of traffic data, while minimizing the loss of system throughput under a multi-cell cellular environment in order to account for inter-cell interference from adjacent cells. We manifest the performance of the proposed algorithm under a SCME (Spatial Channel Model Extensions) MIMO channel model.
