An Economic Analysis of Care-Management System for Multicultural Families Based on Digital Ethnography

Abstract

The objective of this study is to grasp a technology group necessary to develop the care-management system for multicultural families based on digital ethnography and to estimate the expected economic feasibility of the developed product. To this end, statistical data was analyzed and a survey was conducted among experts. The findings are as follows: Related technologies necessary to develop the care-management system for multicultural families based on digital ethnography are as follows: ① Evaluation simulation verification technology; ② Visualization technology; ③ Multi-channel multimedia production/analysis technology; ④ Contents production tool technology; ⑤ Customized curation technology; and ⑥ Platform technology. It is expected that these related technologies can produce the following items: ① Information visualization authoring tool, ② Contents authoring tool, and ③ Customized solution. The markets realizable with these related technologies and products are contents information service industry and contents solution market. Second, both the information service and contents solution markets show high growth rates home and abroad, and they are expected to grow continually. As for the global market ripple effect of the care-management system for multicultural families based on digital ethnography, that in the contents information service industry is estimated to be 1 trillion 9.6 billion won–2 trillion 740 billion won in the year of 2015; and that in the contents solution market is estimated to be 23.8 billion–59.5 billion won. That in the contents information service industry is estimated to be 1 trillion 64.4 billion–4 trillion 110 billion won, and that in the contents solution market is estimated to be 49.6 billion to 124 billion won respectively in the year of 2020 when the CAGR is reflected.
