Abstract

In the present work, vibration control performance of piezoelectric active mount system for unmanned aero vehicle (UAV) equipment is evaluated via hardware in the loop simulation (HILS). As a first step, the inertia type of piezostack based active mount is designed and manufactured. Then, mechanical model of active mount system including four active mounts and UAV camera equipment is constructed and the governing equations are derived and expressed in a state space form. HILS system is constructed for the evaluation of vibration control performance of active mount system. One active mount and excitation system is prepared as hardware part and camera equipment and three active mounts are considered in software part. Sliding mode controller which is robust to uncertain parameters is designed and implemented to HILS system. Vibration control performances are evaluated at each mount and center of gravity point. Effective Control results such as vertical motion, pitch and roll motion are presented in both time and frequency domains.
