Abstract

An ultrasonic transducer for medical imaging was presented. It combined electromechanical and optical properties of PZN-PT single crystal. A thin layer of active material served both as transmitter and receiver of ultrasound. An intrinsic interferometer was formed by the thin layer by a partially reflective mirror/electrode on one side and a fully reflective mirror/electrode on other side.
